When I heard we would be reviewing The Pie I got excited and nostalgic for memories of driving to the underground pizzeria near the U. I had no idea that there were other locations, and we met in South Jordan.

Walking in it seemed that great care was taken to replicate (or at least resemble) the ‘underground’ look of the downtown location, with the graffiti-esque décor. The other thing I noticed was that it was HOT in there. Add the fact that we sat in the area upstairs, and it made for a really warm evening. I really like the long booths; plenty of space with no crowding, even for a bigger party.

Sitting upstairs made a few things inconvenient, like having to go downstairs to pick up the food, and to refill the drinks. Speaking of drinks: this was my first experience with a Coke Freestyle machine, which is essentially a soft drink fountain with a touch screen, giving you the ability to not only choose your drink, but also add flavor, equaling over 100 flavor possibilities. Pretty great, except that The Pie only had one machine, so the wait to refill your drink was always long.

The food itself was good. I’m pretty sure The Pie is a classic and traditional favorite among many locals, but I thought the pizza was just okay. We didn’t get a cheese pull-apart, which is what everyone said is their favorite thing, so I’d like to try that sometime. Instead we had garlic/cheese bread.

Overall, I think The Pie in South Jordan is an enjoyable place for a social night out. Go with your friends, or for a family night out, and have a slice!

Stephanie: It seemed a little small when I walked in. I wondered where we were going to sit. I was pleased to see they had a large upstairs eating area. Oh… and they have a freestyle drink machine. Raspberry Diet Coke anyone?
Vanessa: It’s hot! It’s in the middle of winter and upstairs it was just uncomfortably hot. But you know…sometimes you ignore things like that for good pizza.

Char: I love the pizza. We’re The Pie regulars. I also love the cheese pull aparts and a chef salad.
Emily: I’ve been a Pie fan ever since my college days. My fave is still their pepperoni pizza and cheese pull-apart bread, both with a side of ranch.
Evonne: I loved that they didn’t skimp on the cheese, but I am lover of cheese.
Jenny: Have you seen this drink machine? You can get, like, over 100 different flavors of pop. From one machine. I liked the veggie pizza (no olives!).
Stephanie: I really liked the barbecue chicken pizza. It didn’t have has much cheese as the other pizzas which I really like. Plus… did I mention the freestyle machine?
Vanessa: The pizza! My favorite is BBQ Cilantro Chicken, Chicken Ranch and regular pepperoni. How relaxed the feel is of the resturant; lots of times I feel like going to a place like that rather than a fancy smanchy place.

Char: As much as I love The Pie and I love Coke Freestyle machines, I have to say that the combination of the two is disastrous. The line was 8-9 people long most of the night and if you’re sitting upstairs and need to head down for a refill, you feel like you’re missing most of the meal.
Emily: I wasn’t impressed with their cheese garlic bread or the sweltering heat upstairs. It’s kind of ridiculous to have upstairs seating without waiter/waitress service I think. I had to keep getting up and down and there was serious foot traffic back and forth. But THE WORST part of it all had to be the single Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. YES, one machine for the ENTIRE restaurant and no other way to refill your drinks! I waited a good 10 minutes to refill mine. It was ridiculous! In fact, it was so bad it will keep me from going back to that location.
Evonne: I didn’t like that they only had one drink machine and it was downstairs. The line was huge and made it hard to want a refill and miss out on good company. Oh, and it was soo hot upstairs too. Just as bad, though, is when I took Savannah back and she started reading what was on the walls. Like on the back of her plate was written something about sucking d**k. :(
Jenny: That pop machine? Only one, which meant a perpetual long line. Also, when I get garlic bread and it just looks like a slice of bread from a bag, I feel disappointed.
Stephanie: I really don’t care for the amount of cheese on some of the pizzas. It is like cheese overkill. Also, there is only one drink machine and it is on the bottom level. Most of the seating is upstairs so it is inconvenient.
Vanessa: The subs & appetizers we tried. The vegetable sub tasted like a bunch of canned, mushy, un-fresh vegetables. Also there was only ONE fountain drink machine (the kind with the touchscreen that has all the different drinks come out of the spout) for the packed restaurant, which led to a long line. And it was really in the wrong place of the resturant.

Char: Yes.
Emily: Not this location. I always tell people it’s worth the drive downtown if you want some of The Pie.
Evonne: Yes, I would. I would recommend they sit downstairs…hopefully it would resolve some of my complaints.
Jenny: Sure, if they live in South Jordan.
Stephanie: Yes. Everyone should experience The Pie at least once. It’s a Utah tradition.
Vanessa: YES! BUT…I don’t think it’s the best pizza in Utah like others do. Estes is by far the best and The Pie is trailing right behind it. And the pizza is heavy; you have to be in the mood for heavy pizza.

Just a few steps off the University of Utah campus and your nose starts to tingle from the rich aromas of garlic and fresh baking Pie pizza dough. The mixed aromas pick you up, swirling you past colorful murals and old brick walls dressed in graffiti. The candle lit room filled with college students and professors seems neither crowded nor uncomfortable as people flow in and out for their Pie fix of the day. The University dine in location is open until 3:00 am on weekends, The Pie’s full motion Internet camera gives the world a peek at late night Pie junkies eating, drinking and sometimes even studying. The epitome of all college hangouts, you are now in what all Salt Lakers know as simply THE PIE!

In 1980, The Palmer family had a vision to turn the establishment into a great place for college students to relax, enjoy great food, study and listen to music. An immediate success, students came by the hundreds and The Pie grew from one location to five restaurants spanning Ogden to South Jordan and is still 100% family owned and operated today.

The Sassies recently had a chance to become part of The Pie’s rich and tasty history when we visited their new South Jordan, Utah location.

Char: SO CUTE! Why have I never crossed the street from Material Girls to check this place out???
Emily: Oh my gosh! Look how cute the decor is! And the cupcakes? Beautiful. Wait, what?!?! You have Italian sodas and frozen lemonade? SOLD!
Evonne: To-die-for decor and a perfect spot to take my little lady.
Jenny: I’m really impressed with the location of the store, and I’m surprised at how big the space is.
Kristina: The shop is really fun and adorable. It would be a great place for a shower or party.
Stephanie: I loved the high ceilings and whimsical decor. It has the feeling of an upscale boutique filled with the most lovely goodies. I would say it is a little on the side of fairytale like.
Vanessa: So excited to have the Sassies come try this place—I want to show it off to them! Love all the places to sit, cute decor, birthday table in the back and friendly smiles at the counter.

Char: I loved the atmosphere and the decor. I also enjoy the denseness of my raspberry chocolate cupcake.
Emily: The cake part of the cupcakes was my favorite thing ever. Super dense and super moist. The peanut butter one was delicious (I had to try this later because Steph wouldn’t share), as was the Almond Joy cupcake. The frozen lemonade was delicious too! Another favorite: hosting a birthday party there. My girls would love it!
Evonne: I loved that there was a spot all the girls could sit around and talk over a sweet treat.
Jenny: The drink options. I had the hot chocolate, and though I couldn’t finish it, I liked the idea of getting cocoa, or an Italian Soda, or lemonade. The chocolate raspberry cupcake was tasty.
Kristina: I loved the Snickerdoodle cupcake, and their French macaroons. I don’t normally like coconut, but their coconut tasted like a unicorn in my mouth.
Stephanie: I had a peanut butter cup cupcake. It was actually like eating a peanut butter cup. AMAZING. And the cake itself was truly the best cupcake I have ever eaten. I typically do not enjoy cupcakes. That cupcake changed my mind.
Vanessa: The Raspberry Chocolate cupcake; the flavors and choices of chocolate makes it a masterpiece. The brownies are yummy, the hot chocolate has ganache in it and the selection of flavors with the cupcakes is great.

Char: I was not a fan of the cake bites, but that’s a personal (bizarre texture-related) problem.
Emily: Her version of the cake bite wasn’t my favorite. The taste and texture was just a little bit off for me.
Evonne: I personally wish I could have stayed longer to try more stuff. :)
Jenny: I had a tiny bite of a . . . what was it? Like, a cakepop without a stick . . . it was super dry.
Kristina: I really wish they sold milk. Their cupcakes were quite rich, and a nice glass of milk would have made everything better.
Stephanie: The coconut cookie thing I ate. Mostly because I don’t like coconut. It gets stuck in the back of my throat. Not my favorite.
Vanessa: The cake bites. Sweet Tooth Fairy perfected them and I don’t think any other nearby bakery should even try. The consistency was off for me with these cake bites. Also their carrot cake cupcake needs to be re-done I think.

Char: Absolutely. The options for fancy and fab cupcakes in this neck of the woods are slim.
Emily: Already did. And that friend left a half dozen One Sweet Slice cupcakes on our doorstep a few days later. It was awesome.
Evonne: The cupcakes I tried, I loved…and I would most definitely send someone their way for a special occasion cake. Those cakes are off-the-chart amazing.
Jenny: Sure.
Kristina: Yes! I think their cupcakes were delicious, and they were reasonably priced. The shop is also really cute.
Stephanie: YES! I have convinced my sister-in-law that we need to take her little girls there for fun. They would love it.
Vanessa: Yes, I have many times! For cupcakes, personalized birthday cakes, to just hang out with friends and for wedding cakes. Owner is wonderful, cupcakes are moist and delectable and customer service is always perfect.

What was your first impression?

Emily: Love the fun location just off Center Street. It has an old-town Main Street feel to it—perfect for a pie shake parlor! I did notice it was pretty tiny, though, with limited seating. Kinda felt a bit claustrophobic, so I was glad they had a funky little back room for us and the kids.
Kim: I noticed and loved the hole-in-the-wall feel. I think the best restaurants are ones such as these. I loved the welcoming hand painted sign out front talking about pie shakes. I had no idea there even was such a thing! I was surprised to walk in and find additional seating in the back of the restaurant which had vintage desks and a table that I am sure used to be my aunt’s.
Lindsey: This place is small. Are you sure we are all going to fit in here with our kids? Oh wait, they have a back room. Cool. And what’s this? Cupshakes? Have mercy!
Stephanie: I walked in and thought it seemed a little small. But then I looked at the menu and it made up for the lack of size.

What did you like the most?

Emily: The battered fries were delicious as were the sweet potato fries (perfectly seasoned). Their unique fry sauce was super yummy; I might have wanted to take a gallon home with me. I also thought the “create your own burger” was a great idea, and my kids loved their shakes. (They loved them so much they forgot to share with me. Guess I need to return for my own!)
Kim: Camilla and I loved our cupshake. We may have even fought for it and over it. I personally loved the sweet potato fries and the concoction that made up the fry sauce was incredible. I learned later that the special ingredient was ranch dressing. Who would have thought? I really liked that I could make my own burger. I love that about other restaurants and I loved that I could pick and choose what I wanted on mine. I ended up with 4 different kinds of meats and even put an egg and spam on mine. It was delicious. I suggest you try it when you go.
Lindsey: I thought the hand-cut fries were delicious and the fry sauce was the perfect blend. I love that the potatoes come from Rexburg! I also really enjoyed my cupshake. I had the carrot cake cupshake and loved getting bits of frosting in the shake. I was also really impressed that they use cupcakes from local bakeries at each of their 3 locations.
Stephanie: I really liked my chicken sandwich. The chicken was tender and juicy. Chicken is typically dry and overcooked at most places. I also liked the fry sauce. Not your typical mayo and ketchup. It had some zing. I like zing. Plus there is a backroom that would work well for families or a bigger group of people.

Emily: My kids weren’t super impressed with the chicken fingers. They looked like something frozen and reheated and were rather dry. My chicken sandwich was missing the pepper jack cheese, so it didn’t have nearly the kick I would have liked. But again, the fry sauce sort of distracted me from my disappointment. I would have liked a bit more seating as well. When the weather gets chilly, it’s going to be a bit cozy in there!
Kim: There was really nothing I didn’t like.
Lindsey: The mix in my soda was off.
Stephanie: The regular fries were a bit soggy but the sweet potato fries and battered fries were fabulous. I would also be really concerned about seating if I went during a lunch or dinner rush. I think it is more of a place I would get take out from.

Emily: If they were in the area, I totally would! Who doesn’t want/need a cupshake or pie shake once in a while (or more often)? And their fries and fry sauce are delicious!
Kim: Certainly. It is a fun place to go after the kids’ soccer game. For a fun little treat to celebrate a new karate belt, or a great place to go to get some pie flavor in a jiffy.
Lindsey: Yes! I think it’s a great place to go and lounge with friends or get a treat after a movie on date night. I want to try all the cupshakes and pie shakes!
Stephanie: Yes. In fact I have many friends that have referred me to Sammy’s. People love it. And after tasting the food I can understand why.

Disclaimer: The Sassies were treated to a sampling of Sammy’s Cafe’s menu including their famous pie shakes and cupshakes. Some of us are still dreaming about the fry sauce.

You’ve heard of putting Oreos and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in shakes. Heck, you’ve probably even had a shake with mix-ins like hot fudge, mini M&Ms and fresh fruit. Question is, have you ever had a shake made with a slice of pie? Or one made with a locally baked cupcake? My guess is no, which means you have yet to visit one of the three Sammy’s Cafe locations: Provo, Rexburg and their newest location in Pleasant Grove.

Though Sammy’s Cafe offers a full menu of cafe-style savory items like burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, onion rings and fries (hand cut using Idaho potatoes; both regular and sweet potato), they’re famous for their shakes. On the menu you’ll find pie shakes like:

• Banana Cream Pie
• Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake
• Mint Oreo
• Chocolate Cream Oreo Pie
• Coconut Cream Pie
• Fruit Cheesecakes (strawberry, blackberry, pineapple, raspberry)

You’ll also find cupcake shakes like key lime and strawberry shortcake. Not cool enough for a pie or cupcake shake? Try a traditional shake or malt in 15 different flavors. And they even come in half sizes for the kids (or kids-at-heart who are watching their waistline for some silly reason).

Speaking of waistline, Sammy’s Cafe offers a side of caramel with your sweet potoato fries. Yes, I said caramel. And their handmade fry sauce is delicious. (Wait, should that have been in Wednesday’s review? Oh well. It is really, really good.)

The new location in Pleasant Grove opened a week ago this last Saturday to lines out the door and live music in the air. Though the cafe locations in Provo and Rexburg have more of a college feel, the new location in PG lends itself to more of a “family” crowd.

By now you have read about our secret adventures reviewing City Cakes & Café in Salt Lake City, Utah. What you may not have realized, which many of us didn’t, is that the baked goods are served up entirely vegan and/or gluten free. I know what you are thinking, “How is it even possible to bake without butter?” Trust me, I’m still wondering…you know, since butter makes the world go round. Well, everywhere besides at City Cakes.

While the Sassies had mixed reviews about the overall look, feel, and taste of the Café and products, I think we all agreed it is a great concept for those who don’t worship bacon on a regular basis. I mean, unless they make vegan bacon… (Do they? Well if they do I am sure it is minus the pig and therefore not as piggy or delicious.)

But one thing we all agreed upon is the use of the word “moist” in our video review. And even though Webster (the dictionary guy, not the 80’s TV guy) is probably rolling over in his grave at our possible overuse and giggle fest over the wor We are sure you will LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

What was your first impression?

Char: I wanted to sit at the bar and watch the action and cloth napkins are always a good start to a meal according to my dad.
Evonne: I loved the vibe. It has the perfect feel for a date, or perfect for a rowdy bunch of sassy girls out on the town.
Jenny: I liked how the place looked; nice, welcoming and spacious area to wait to be seated.
Kim: I love the open feel of the restaurant. I really enjoyed being able to see the chefs at work. It was a very bright and open restaurant. I loved the decor with its “homey” feel.
Kristina: I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. It’s modern and trendy, yet warm and had traditional elements to it. There’s not a ton of seating inside, but if you add the patio seating, there is a decent amount. I also like the bar area in front of the kitchen, so you can make sure no one spits into your food.
Lindsey: I loved all the windows opening up and brightening up the space. I loved the quirky and simple decor. And we were able to find a parking spot right in front of the downtown restaurant so it was obviously meant to be a blessed night.
Stephanie: I have been here before and really like the overall hip and trendy atmosphere. I love the outdoor seating and exposed kitchen. It just adds to the experience.
Vanessa: It is located on 300 S which is *the* street in SLC because it has my three other favorite restaurants in the whole state on that street. Parking was not too bad to find on a Saturday night and the restaurant had an ambiance that I really enjoyed: homey, modern, rustic, natural, warm and friendly, pretty perfect.

What did you like the most?

Char: I liked that the manager came over and told us about the beverage options and offered to take a picture if we wanted him to. Our waitress was also adorable. And, the ricotta dumplings!
Evonne: It was a tie between the cheese platter and those ricotta dumplings we shared for an appetizer.
Jenny: The food was wonderful. The trout was perfect, and any time beets are prepared in a manner I enjoy is of note. I really enjoyed the new (to me) combinations of tastes (i.e., beets, fennel and almonds), and I appreciated the family-style sides, if for no other reason than I could try more dishes. The servers really had a strong knowledge of the menu, which is reassuring and helpful.
Kim:I really liked the cheese and meats with the crusty bread. The meat was very high quality and not overly salty, as was the cheese; this was by far my favorite appetizer. Second was the ricotta cheese. So yummy with a hint of sweetness.
Kristina: I really loved the chicken breast. It was homey and the skin was crispy and super flavorful. I also loved the bowls for beets for the appetizer. Fortunately, most of the Sassies are bigoted against beets, so I was able to eat most of them by myself. Steph’s giant short rib, which was as big her head (draw your own conclusions about the size of Stephanie’s head), was super tender and good. I also loved that they brought out carafes of Diet Coke, which I basically used as my glass.
Lindsey: The food was hearty, rich and rustic. I loved most of the appetizers we ordered, but the ricotta dumplings stole the show for me. I ordered the tri tip and thought the meat was prepared deliciously.
Stephanie: This is a hard question, but I guess it was the short rib I ordered. Or as I like to refer to it now as the DINO rib. Size aside, it was tender, fall-off-the-bone, seasoned to perfection, YUM! And I am picky about my beef…It was good.
Vanessa: The waitress (and every other waiter and waitress I have had while being there, really great customer service); how everything tasted very fresh; my dish (the trout with the fennel, almond & beet salad); how I would have never thought to order that but I trusted the restaurant enough to give it a try and I ended up loving it. Also the sauteed mushroom dish—the flavors and textures were magical. Also the prices…for the location, the scale of the restaurant and how they use local and fresh ingredients, the prices are extremely reasonable.

Char: My pasta needed a little bit more…something.
Evonne: I didn’t like what I ordered. I had heard so much about their burger and I wasn’t a fan. It didn’t have any flavor and was a little on the dry side.
Jenny: I overheard that Dr. Pepper was not available…
Kim: I felt like my meal lacked a lot of flavor. I got the carbonara. Both Char and I ordered pasta dishes, and we concluded they were both lacking in flavor. We requested salt to try to liven it up. We couldn’t determine if it was because our tastebuds were on overload from the salty appetizers or if it truly was lacking in flavor. I still can’t decide.
Kristina: I tried Evonne’s burger and it lacked a lot of flavor. I would much rather have a Five Guys burger. There also appeared to be a very long table where they would sit multiple parties, so be prepared for having to possibly sit at a table with people you don’t know and will probably judge and not like. I also wasn’t impressed with the spicy potato appetizer. The aioli was too spicy for me, yet the potatoes lacked flavor.
Lindsey: While my steak was beautiful, it came with a salad on the same plate that I believe they drizzled olive oil on—too much olive oil. It was a good thing that our little table was on a slant so that the oil could pool to one side while I enjoyed the tri tip.
Stephanie: I feel like the seating is a little cramped. You are pretty much in the personal space of nearby tables. Also, it seems like the food could possibly be hit and miss. When I was there before my burger was amazing. Evonne ordered the burger and it was only so-so.
Vanessa: Some of the appetizers were just fine but with this place I expect more. I really expect and know that every single dish can be superb, not just “fine.” I also don’t like how the water is sometimes not cold and that sometimes it is hard to maneuver in between tables.

Char: I would. I liked that even though it’s downtown, it didn’t feel chaotic.
Evonne: Based on this experience, I would not refer a friend.
Jenny: Yes, for a nice night out.
Kim: This was my second time eating at The Copper Onion. I am going to be completely honest and say that I feel like this restaurant is a little over-rated. The food is just okay in my opinion. I don’t feel like it is really special, however, if I ever do go back I will try the meatloaf. I am told it is the best meatloaf ever. I am not sure if I believe that because both dishes I have tried I feel like I could make at home and they would have been just as good.
Kristina: This is my second time at The Copper Onion, both times with a group of Sassies. I know it’s one of Salt Lake’s premier restaurant, but I wasn’t impressed enough this time around to highly recommend it. Most of the food was either just OK or bland. Especially since the prices were a bit on the high end. I think there are a ton of other great restaurants downtown that I would recommend before The Copper Onion.
Lindsey: Yes, but I would be very specific about what they should order.
Stephanie: Yes. I actually referred my brother and sister-in-law there after my last visit. It is now one of their favorite downtown restaurants.
Vanessa: I would and I have done many of times. But when I do suggest this place to people I do tell them that a couple of my friends have not enjoyed it as much as my husband and I have. Although I still would tell people to give it a try. I feel like things are healthy, fresh, inventive and the customer service is always really spot on.

Char: Eat a short rib the size of your head at @thecopperonion. And your waitress won’t even laugh when you ask what animal it came from.
Evonne: I had something gross at @TheCopperOnion. Should I give it another try?
Jenny: @thecopperonion is a nice place to go in Downtown SLC for outstanding food + atmosphere
Kim: @TheCopperOnion for rustic home style meals.
Lindsey: If you are looking for a rich and hearty place for dinner, try the tri tip and ricotta dumplings @TheCopperOnion.
Stephanie: There is no copper or onions but if you dig hip, trendy & tasty you have found your place @TheCopperOnion.
Vanessa: @TheCopperOnion is a place to try in downtown SLC; it will make you try something new & prices are very reasonable for the class of the rstrnt.

The Sassies went out last weekend in stealth mode . . . that is, we didn’t let The Copper Onion know ahead of time we would be showing up with the intention of reviewing their establishment on our site.

The Copper Onion, located in downtown Salt Lake City, boasts “Regional American Fare in a casual atmosphere.” Chef and owner Ryan Lowder brings a wealth of worldwide experience and training to the table, along with General Manager/Owner Colleen Lowder and Sous Chef Jamison Frank. Taking a special interest in local sustainability, they are able to source much of their menu from local and regional locales.

The restaurant itself is contemporary and creative in its decor. The menu is extensive (dinner, lunch, brunch, afternoon, and dessert, as well as a comprehensive drink selection), and features a medley of fresh combinations of new tastes, as well as dishes meant to be shared family-style. Reservations (recommended) can be made online through opentable.com. **

So, how did it go at The Copper Onion? Without having interviewed the owner, how much did we learn? Without having made previous arrangements, how were we treated? And what of the food? We’ll let you know on Wednesday!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Provo is one of the most amazing eateries I have had the pleasure of experiencing both mind, body, soul and stomach. Since joining the SassyScoops last spring, I have become a foodie snob of sorts, and Station 22 Cafe exceeded every and all expectation on what a good food experience should be. I say “experience” because that is exactly what a meal at Station 22 Cafe is. A delightful experience.

From the moment you walk in the door, all of your senses are hit softly with what I call “a helping of yum.” The ambiance of this place is incredible. From the quaint New York City sidewalk eatery feel (except, get this, you are indoors) to the live music, to the soft-yet-bright lighting, and finally, let us not forget the delicious smells, this place has it all. Station 22 Cafe has gone to a lot of work to make sure all of your senses are satisfied, not just your taste buds. One of my favorite things about walking in is the sign that reads “Welcome Friends!” I love that I am their friend already.

Meeting Richard Gregory was also refreshing. He is passionate about the food he serves to his clients and believes strongly in providing what he calls “luxury foods for the middle class.” And then he takes those luxury foods and proceeds to “elevate [them] to the highest form that [they] possibly can.” I don’t think I could say it better myself. I loved listening to their passion, and experiencing his passion for his restaurant only helped me to appreciate it more fully as well.

Now, let me take a moment to share my love of the food. Firstly, I am not a huge fry lover, however Station 22 Cafe fries are honestly -the- best fries I have ever eaten, ever. If you know me at all, you know I do not, repeat, do not eat ketchup. However, I did try the Truffle Ketchup and it was delicious, as was the secret seasoned blend of fry sauce. Secondly, every sandwich I tried was SO good. When I go to a place I usually find one item and then order it every time. Station 22 Cafe is not that kind of place, and a different sandwich should be experienced each time you go. My favorite? The Memphis Chicken Sandwich. As Kristina and I agreed, the sandwich melts in your mouth, if you can believe chicken can melt, well, I assure you, it can. A close second favorite was the Mighty Meatloaf Sandwich with bacon wrapped meatloaf. Need I say more?

So, if you are lucky enough to live in Utah County, make Station 22 Cafe your next date night restaurant, and if you are not? Plead with them, like I am, to build one in Salt Lake County. Until then? I’ll make the trek for delicious melt-in-your-mouth sandwiches and salads.
