After spending nearly two hours at Sweet Lizzie’s the Sassies left feeling happy, high and about 20 pounds heavier. Sweet Lizzie’s is the Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory of Utah, minus the creepy Oompa-Loompas.

The store is simply adorable. With it’s bright pink walls, colorful glass containers full of candy and shabby chic refurbished furniture, it’s what I picture would be the product of a unicorn mating with a Care Bear.

I think the phrase “This is the cutest place ever!” was said about 47 times throughout the visit. I believe Stephanie was looking into state laws to see what the age of consent is to legally date and marry a candy store in Utah. (Any word, Steph?)

My personal favorites were all of the different gummy candy, the mini chocolate-covered Oreos, and the old-school wax lips, while Quinn couldn’t stop raving about the sour cherry balls. Quinn stated that Sour Cherry Balls is a top contender on her list of baby names.

Emily was also obsessed with the extremely reasonably priced furniture. She loved one of the chairs so much, she asked if one of us would be willing to take one for the team and ride on the top of the car so she could bring the chair home. Stephanie was being selfish as usual and opted not to.

If you are ever in the Tooele area or are driving back from Wendover and managed not to gamble all of your money away, the Sassies definitely recommend stopping at Sweet Lizzie’s. Three out of four dentists recommend it.

I love gummy candies. Plus taffy is always a good bet. I’m trying to come up with a good excuse to visit Tooele so I can go here. It looks just like I want my bake shop to look…someday.
I don’t think there is a candy out there that I don’t like. I have a definite sweet tooth. Anything chocolate, chewy, or sour is the best!!
Jelly beans, jelly beans! Good old classic!
My favorite old candy- Chocomint Lifesavors!

Thanks Sassies!
Do you remember the raspberry shaped gummies you used to find in candy grab bags as a child. Yep. Love them. That’s my favorite.
Funny you should mention the sour cherry ball because it is my FAAAAAVORITE! And those oval, two-toned suckers that turn to powder when you bite them. Those are the best.
I LOVE salt water taffy and jelly beans!!!
Bit O’ Honeys. And I like those things Jesslyn tried to describe, too.
I definitely need to head toward Tooele soon.
I really like those sugar crystal suckers! Pure sugar… pure evil… pure joy! ;)
I would say the Rootbeer barrels are my favorite and Bit-o-Honey’s are a close second!

Hi! I like the Rock Candy suckers..don’t find them very much like I did when I was a kid. I do like taffy if it is made right and depending on the flavor. Thank you for a wonderful giveaway! :)
