Visiting  Ten Thousand Villages was a fabulous trip and all of us will be back! Everyone walked out with items from the store that had a beautiful story behind them and now are very special in our homes. The three of us who reviewed Ten Thousand Villages wanted to show you our favorite item we purchased and why. Be sure to check out the preview post for Ten Thousand Villages where you can hear more about the mission behind the store from the store’s director. In a nutshell Ten Thousand Villages is a shop that carries fair-trade goods purchased from oppressed, struggling people all around the world.

Quinn’s purchase

LOVEKNOT

“I immediately fell in love with this Kirsii love knot which comes from an African tradition symbolizing the connection of a man & wife and their love lasting as long as the stone from which the love knot was carved.  I gave it as a gift to my brother & sister-in-law who recently suffered a heart-breaking miscarriage.  The knot really meant a lot to them.”

Vanessa’s purchase
