Review: Rockwell Catering

So what did the Sassies and Jill, our guest Sassy, think of Rockwell Catering? Did the food taste as delicious as it looks in Quinn’s pictures?

QUESTION

What was your first impression?
.

THE SCOOP

Camille: The presentation: the beautiful, bright colors, decoration of sauces and reduction, arrangement of food items—all combined to create an art form!
Emily: The smell! The minute I walked through the door I could tell we were in for a real treat! And the colors? Beautiful!
Jill: The food was beautiful and almost looked too good to eat. I was secretly drooling from the smells of the meats. I could tell Ethan takes pride in his cooking and wants everything to not only look good but taste amazing.
Kalli: Mmmm… foooood.
Michelle: Everything looked amazing! It was like a feast for the eyes, so colorful and delicious!
Quinn: Professional brand with beautiful, exciting food variety.
Stephanie: The food was very aesthetically pleasing. I love food that looks so good you think it is fake for a minute.
Vanessa: The food was quite visually impressive; it looked fresh, the colors were bright, fun and every thing we saw looked very professional.

QUESTION

What did you like the most?

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: The tender filet mignon that literally disintegrated in my mouth, with a kick of flavor leaving my knees weak. I do have to say that I’m impressed he got me to eat asparagus! Wrap that baby in prosciutto with those flavors any day and I’m happy to get my “greens”!
Emily: The chicken sandwich was heavenly but the sliced filet mignon with it’s drizzle of creamy, spicy coolness did me in. I think I had thirds and fourths (and maybe fifths).
Jill: I am still dreaming about how tender the filet mignon was. I also was a huge fan of the shrimp tacos—so flavorful! Besides the food, I like that Rockwell Catering offers payment plan options for clients who aren’t able to pay up front. They are willing to work with most clients’ budgets.
Kalli: I think the Cajun chicken sandwiches were my favorite, though the filet was a close second.
Michelle: I was all about the filet mignon. It melted in your mouth. The wrapped asparagus was totally brag worthy too!
Quinn: The filet mignon was to die for and the chicken sandwiches were also completely amazing.
Stephanie: The shrimp tacos. I seriously want to hire Rockwell Catering once a week to just make me those. Mmm… maybe I will.
Vanessa: Oh holy moliness, that chicken sandwich…wow…everything about it: the textures of all the ingredients to how the flavors all meshed together perfectly. The attention to detail to every single thing in the sandwich, you could tell it was high quality and cooked to perfection. Honest to goodness, I dream about the sandwich.

QUESTION

What didn’t you like?

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: Honestly? I can say there wasn’t anything I didn’t like! Absolutely delicious!
Emily: I wasn’t a huge fan of the shrimp tacos, but I’m not much into seafood. Hence the reason I avoided the salmon appetizer.
Jill: I didn’t like that I wasn’t able to try one of the chicken sandwiches. But really, there wasn’t anything there I didn’t want to stuff my face with for days.
Kalli: Nothing. I even ate the shrimp tacos (because they were good) and I don’t even like shrimp most of the time!
Michelle: I was not a big fan of the olive tapenade. Just not my taste.
Quinn: I’m not crazy about salmon, so I wasn’t a huge fan of that appetizer.
Stephanie: The food was amazing. I truly cannot think of anything I didn’t like. I guess maybe that there weren’t more shrimp tacos?!?!?
Vanessa: They need to have on their website in the very first paragraph how they support other local Utah vendors. He did share that with us but it needs to be on the website. Honestly that makes or breaks it with me and food vendors/restaurant owners/catering companies. It needs to be on the front of the website.

QUESTION

Would you visit again? (In other words, would you have Rockwell Catering cater an event?)

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: I would feel very confident leaving the food portion of any event in the hands of Rockwell Catering! It’s obvious Ethan takes pride in his work—evidenced through the look and taste of his food!
Emily: I’ve never been involved in an event where we were looking to hire a caterer, but if/when I am I will for sure be in touch! Ethan was all about making things work for the customer and I’m all about that!
Jill: If I had to host an event, I would definitely hire them. Who wouldn’t want fresh food with fresh ingredients?
Kalli: I absolutely would. If I were still in the corporate world they’d be the first call for my catering needs.
Michelle: They will definitely be on my list for events in the future.
Quinn: Yes, I thought Ethan did a brilliant job bringing together so much variety. I also really appreciated that Rockwell Catering is willing to work with their prices to help people afford their catering right now when times are tight for everyone.
Stephanie: Yes. Especially after listening to him discuss how competitive their prices are compared to their high quality.
Vanessa: Any chance to have that chicken sammie again, heck yes.
