QUESTION
What was your first impression?
.
THE SCOOP
Emily: A truly hidden treasure in downtown Salt Lake City. Loved the brightly painted walls and vintage pin-up gals adorning the different flavor cookies!
Evonne: Cute little shop!
Quinn: Such a cute location. Loved the big blue banners outside & the fun decor inside; very retro-chic.
Rebecca: Cute shop. Smells great!
Vanessa: Perfect location in downtown SLC, I pass it every week and am sad I didn’t know how really accessible and perfectly located it was.
.
QUESTION
What did you like the most?
.
THE SCOOP
Emily: Um, the cookies! But really and truly I love that you can buy the dough frozen and bake them at home. That means they’re still hot when you pile that vanilla bean ice cream on top! My favorite flavors are the Margo and the Ricki.
Evonne: I loved the cookies of course, but I love the theme.
Quinn: The cookies, of course! My faves are Vivianna (orange dough with dark chocolate chunks & mango slices) & Margo (chocolate cookie with mint truffle in center). I love how I can take a bag of frozen dough home & back one, two, or as many as I want, whenever I want (my family loves that, too). I also love how they’re made from fine, natural ingredients.
Rebecca: Wow – the cookies were fabulous and some were so unique. I’m a cookie snob, and I was completely blown away. It was impossible to pick a favorite.
Vanessa: Why the cookies of course, they were divine you can tell they were made with the highest quality of ingredients and with lots of thought and careful preparation. Also Tami’s passion for her product and business and for the community. I love business owners that support each other and give their all to their craft.

QUESTION
What didn’t you like?
.
THE SCOOP:
Emily: A couple of the flavors aren’t my favorite, but that’s because I don’t often like mixing fruit and chocolate. Perhaps I’m just not able to appreciate true gourmet cookies.
Evonne: I don’t like the area.
Quinn: How my stomach refused to let me as many cookies as I wanted.
Rebecca: I know I’m sounding a bit Pollyanna-ish, but there is nothing not to like about this bakery!
Vanessa: I wish that the shoppe had more places to sit and eat, it seems like you order your cookies and have to leave to eat them because of the lack of setting. Even one extra table would be nice!
.
QUESTION
Would you visit again?
.
THE SCOOP:
Emily: If I’m in the area I would definitely drop in and pick up some frozen dough, especially if I have a holiday party to attend. They would make a great dessert at any party!
Evonne: Of course I would go again, and bring my girls with me!
Quinn: Absolutely. I’ve been back often. I have to get my Vivianna fix at least monthly.
Rebecca: I’ve already been back a few times with friends and family. It has become a must-stop-see-taste-and-smell for out of town guests.
Vanessa: Yes I have already! My Dough Girl sells their cookies frozen and I bought a few bags that we have been eating for treat nights. It is nice because I can only bake up 2 or 3 and not be tempted by a whole batch!
.

I am a whirlwind of activity—in my mind anyway. That place sure is busy. I have the best of intentions to keep a clean house, cook delicious dinners, learn to dance, become fluent in Spanish and German, get my Masters degree, and travel the world. Instead, I spend my days exploring Salt Lake City with my almost 2 year old, teaching piano to a multitude of (i.e. TOO MANY) wonderful kids, practicing the piano, reading, writing, and missing my husband while he is away at work (why can’t we just be rich and hang out together all day?). Most recently, I became a reporter for the Sugar House Journal and am currently adjusting my schedule to accommodate that new adventure! You can read more about me and my whirlwind of activity on Thrilled by the Thought.
