QUESTION
What was your first impression?
.
THE SCOOP
Emily: I was a little worried about the location and the sort of sketchy strip mall it was in, but once I walked through the doors that all didn’t matter. Loved the layout and the décor. Very cool!
Kristina: The restaurant has a fun, relaxed vibe to it. I am a little intimidated by sports bars, because I don’t drink, nor do I watch a lot of sports, but I didn’t feel uncomfortable here at all. I would like to see a lot more shirtless soccer players on the walls.
Michelle: I thought the sports-themed decor was cool without being too much like some places. The owner was super friendly and you can tell she is totally down to earth and loves what she does.
Quinn: As soon as I walked in it felt like stepping into another world “where everybody knows your name… and you’re always glad you came.”
Stephanie: It was very modern but cozy all at the same time. And not nearly as noisy as some sports grills.
Veronica: When you walk in you realize that it’s a lot bigger than it looks from the outside.

QUESTION
What did you like the most?
.
THE SCOOP
Emily: The menu options were awesome. Lots of them but not overwhelming like those 50-page menus at other restaurants. Everything was so good! My favorites were the queso and the fried pickles. YUM! Oh, wait. The chocolate cake and ice cream sandwich were good too!
Kristina: The food was amazing. The menu was HUGE, and it was just good, homemade food. I could not stop eating the queso dip. It was just spicy enough, and had big chunks of hamburger in it. If the Snuggie were an appetizer, it would be this queso dip.
Michelle: I heart the strawberry lemonade (I drank at least three during dinner), the artichoke chicken pizza was to die for and the chocolate chip ice cream sandwich was delicious. I also thought the patio with the fire-centered tables was really nice.
Quinn: I love the owners and how they strive to have Legends be a place where people don’t just feel like a number, they feel like they’re family. Watching the waitresses interact with the other customers, you’d think everyone was a “regular” customer. I also loved their Philly cheese steak sandwich and just about every other thing I tasted!
Stephanie: The food. It was amazing. I guess if I have to pick one item it would be the queso dip. I couldn’t stop eating it. That and the ice cream sandwich.
Veronica: The food is really amazing. The artichoke chicken pizza is to die for! I think we tried something from almost every section of the menu and it was all great. Also, our server was quick and attentive, especially with the Diet Cokes!

QUESTION
What didn’t you like?
.
THE SCOOP
Emily: Like I mentioned before, the location. Don’t get me wrong—Dr. John’s is a great place to do your shopping but having it next door to Legends along with Brewvies makes it kind of an interesting locale.
Kristina: Honestly, not much. I guess, to state the obvious, because it’s a sports bar, it’s very loud. We were able to get a quieter, private area, but if you were staying at a local hotel, from out of town, and wanted a quiet place to eat, this would not be it.
Michelle: The location was not my favorite, nestled in a parking lot with Brewvies and Dr. Johns.
Quinn: I honestly can’t think of anything… hmmm… nope, nothing.
Stephanie: The location. It was next to a more “questionable” business and I am not sure if I would want to walk my boys past there to get to the restaurant.
Veronica: I’m a diet Dr Pepper girl. But I had to settle for Diet Coke.
QUESTION
Would you refer Legends to a friend?
.
THE SCOOP
Emily: Yes! I’ve already raved about it to my husband and would love to go back for a date night with other couples.
Kristina:Definitely. I want to take my husband back there. I told him that all he has to do is rub my feet and do the dishes for two weeks, and I might buy him some queso dip.
Michelle: Yes, I liked that the menu had a nice variety and that it was a laid back atmosphere that would be fun for a night out with some friends.
Quinn: I tell EVERYONE about Legends. I think it’s one of the best kept secrets in the Salt Lake Valley. Dead serious.
Stephanie: Yes. I actually already have. And I plan on going back myself.
Veronica: Absolutely, I already have.
