THE SCOOP

Camille: Creative! Not only is her shop/bakery creatively decorated and cute, but the presentation of her sweets is amazing! Did you notice the individually crafted and decorated cookies she created for 7 different people? The only other time I’ve seen cakes created at this level of expertise was on the Food Network!
Emily: The name is my first impression, and how can you possibly resist a name that rolls off the tongue like Dippidee does? The store didn’t disappoint with its sugary confections and fun gift items. Too cute!
Evonne: Absolutely perfect for a party!!
Kalli: I hope these fine baked goods taste as good as they look…
Michelle: The cake was beautiful and shimmery in it’s chocolaty splendor. Wow!
Quinn: Really classy looking place. I liked the design and decor a lot.
Stephanie: The cookies and the cake were absolutely gorgeous. I love pretty things, especially ones you can eat.
Vanessa: One of everything immediately, please! My girls were excited to pull up because they know this is where we get all of our family’s birthday cakes.

QUESTION

What did you like the most?

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: The taste of her products. It’s obvious she uses fresh ingredients. Plus, I love that, of her in-store baked goods variety, she offers “fun-size” gourmet cupcakes for $0.99. “Fun-size” is actually a “normal” cupcake size to me. So, they’re the perfect size and the perfect price to satisfy a quick sugar craving!
Emily: I loved how the owner took time to check out our blogs and create custom cookies piled high with super yummy frosting for each one of us. I also absolutely LOVE their cupcakes. Most of them are filled with a delicious surprise inside–to die for! Oh, and being a chocoholic I also adored the chocolate cake, glitteriness and all. (And yes, “glitteriness” is word you should add to your current vocabulary.)
Evonne: I am in love with the chocolate cake. I have serious cravings for it.
Kalli: My owl cookie, it was so spot on and DELICIOUS too.
Michelle: I loved that they personalized the cookies to look like everyone’s blogs. It was fun to see what they came up with for each one.
Quinn: I LOVED how she made us custom sugar cookies that matched our individual blog designs. It was amazing!!! Mine was so adorable! It made our review so much fun. The cake was really yummy, too! It was really pretty, too, with sparkly chocolate frosting.
Stephanie: The chocolate cake. I am not a big chocolate fan but that cake was to DIE for.
Vanessa: Their chocolate cake with the chocolate mousse filling is quite possibly the best dessert on the planet. We eat it 2 times a year and think about it the rest of the year.

QUESTION

What didn’t you like?

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: The shop isn’t very kid-friendly. I’m always on edge taking my girls in, afraid they’ll break one of the many fragile items on the shelves.
Emily: The only thing I didn’t really like was the frosting on the chocolate cake. I’m not sure if it was the sparkly accent added to the frosting, but it tasted a bit grainy to me. Not the best texture on my tongue. And though their sugar cookies have a bit too much frosting for my taste, my kids loved it!
Evonne: I didn’t get to try my sugar cookie, because my husband got to it first. {Emily: That’s why you hide it, silly!}
Kalli: Sometimes the frosting on the cupcakes can be a little over the top. I like to taste the cupcake part, not just the frosting.
Michelle: I thought the frosting was a little too sweet. But, I am not a big frosting fan to begin with.
Quinn: I didn’t like the driving instructions on the site on how to get there. I don’t go to Utah County often so I didn’t know what exit to get off on and got lost for an hour with crying kids. It was awesome. However, this is something that could be easily fixed and it was really worthwhile once we got there.
Stephanie: There was a lot of frosting on my sugar cookie. I had to take some off. But I am not a big fan of frosting.
Vanessa: Sometimes when I go in I wish they had more cookie or bar or brownie selections in the cases. More places to sit and eat too, maybe some outside seating?

QUESTION

Would you visit again?

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: Oh yes… and I have.
Emily: I definitely would if I were in the area. Being from Sandy and sort of averse to taking my kids with me when I go places, I wouldn’t make a special trip. But I’ll for sure be back for another visit! Either that or send orders with my girlfriend who works in the area!
Evonne: Of course I will order again, I am coming up with an event to justify it!
Kalli: Certainly!
Michelle: I would totally swing by if in the neighborhood. I am known for my sweet tooth and would love to try the red velvet cupcake.
Quinn: Yes, absolutely.
Stephanie: Yes. I really need to buy a chocolate cake for my husband.
Vanessa: Yes, it is good I live 40 minutes away because I would go ALL THE TIME and we do make the drive just for that cake for our birthdays!

Dippidee is my very favorite place for treats. We go there often. If someone in my family is having a bad day, a box with a suprise from Dippidee is all it takes to make them smile. They also made cupcakes for my wedding reception that were the hit of the night. Dippidee is 5 stars, every single time we step in the store!
