QUESTION

What was your first impression?
.

THE SCOOP

Camille: The cake is more “dense” than most cupcakes, which makes eating easier. It doesn’t crumble. And regardless of the flavor you choose, it’s like a party in your mouth.
Emily: “Holy crap! Is that a coconut cupcake? I simply must have it!” And have it I did. And enjoy it I did. YUM!
Jill: The cupcakes are so cute. And chic, of course. The way they are presented is so pleasing to the eye, you can only imagine how pleasing they’re going to be to your face.
Kalli: Get in my mouth.
Kristina: The cupcakes were adorable and delicious. If Suri Cruise was a cupcake, I imagine that’s what she would look like.
Michelle: They looked delicious and made my mouth water right away. It was hard to stay away from the box until after dinner!
Quinn: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their bold branding and packaging.
Stephanie: The cupcakes are too beautiful to eat. I almost felt guilty eating something that pretty.
Vanessa: That these were made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and I would be proud to give these to anyone for a gift or serve them at any party.

QUESTION

What did you like the most?

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: This is odd coming from someone whose first choice is always chocolate/peanut butter (which is still excellent!), but I really liked the key lime pie cupcake. Who would have thought to throw in a graham cracker crust on the bottom of a cupcake?
Emily: My first impression, which was that darned coconut cupcake. I think I ate my weight in them that night (and am still trying to work that cupcake weight off).
Jill: Everything! Other than the amazing flavor of the entire cupcake itself, I was very impressed with the frosting. Unlike some other cupcakes, Cupcake Chic’s cupcakes had the perfect ratio of frosting to cake, and the frosting itself was sweet enough without being overly sweet. When I ate these cupcakes, I didn’t feel like my teeth were about to rot out of my head. Oh, and my favorite flavor is key lime.
Kalli: I want to make a lot of comments about how much I loved the coconut cupcakes, but some of them could be considered inappropriate as one should not reference cupcakes as they would Brad Pitt.
Kristina: There was an excellent amount of frosting on the cupcakes. Really, the cake part is just a vessel to shove frosting in my mouth.
Michelle: The coconut cupcake was to die for! Just the right amount of flavor that melted in your mouth. Mmmm!
Quinn: My favorite flavor is the coconut cupcake (and I’m not a coconut “nut”). I also loved the vanilla with strawberry frosting and have really enjoyed her specialty holiday flavors. Basically, I love everything they make.
Stephanie: The red velvet cupcake. It was rich, moist, and dare I say… heavenly.
Vanessa: How they looked but more importantly tasted! These cupcakes were moist, filling and the texture was spot on a mix of flavors. I also really like the price point—very affordable to deliver instead of flowers. Because come on, wouldn’t you love a box of cupcakes more than flowers? I would! (hint, hint)

QUESTION

What didn’t you like?

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: The lack of self-control once I started eating and the immediate desire to try all of their flavors.
Emily: Though I liked the ratio of frosting to cupcake much better than others I’ve tried, the cupcakes didn’t seem to stay as fresh for as long. They dried out pretty quickly once I got home. I know, I know, I should have eaten them all on the way! Also, those cute little boxes didn’t always hold those cupcakes in place. I noticed the same for the ones at Tai Pan. Quite a few had fallen over and looked so sad all smooshed in their cute little box.
Jill: Nothing. I crave these cupcakes daily. Maybe I don’t like the new addiction? Nah, I like the new addiction.
Kalli: What? I’m not answering this.
Kristina: The chocolate one wasn’t as moist as I would have liked. I don’t like saying the word “moist.”
Michelle: I was not a big fan of the strawberry, but that did not surprise me seeing that I have never liked strawberry cake.
Quinn: That there were other people around and I had to share…. bummer.
Stephanie: The cupcakes sprinkled with coconut. But it isn’t the cupcake’s fault; I just don’t care for coconut.
Vanessa: Well my gripe was all the locations she supplies with cupcakes are down south in Utah county. But with a little help from SassyScoops.com she got a deal with Tai Pan Trading and will be supplying cupcakes for them, which is close to my home!

QUESTION

Would you visit again? (In other words, would you buy a dozen Cupcake Chic cupcakes?)

.
THE SCOOP

Camille: Absolutely! And I love that they’re expanding their business to be more easily accessible.
Emily: I would definitely pick a couple up when making a run to Tai Pan and I’d even consider them for the next baby shower I help throw so I can spend less time in the kitchen and more time in bed.
Jill: I’ve BEEN going back.
Kalli: To the Brad Pitt of cupcakes? Der.
Kristina: Definitely! The only thing that could break up my marriage would be if my husband said that I had to give up cupcakes. These cupcakes would be worth it.
Michelle: I would definitely like to treat myself every once in a while, especially now that I can pick them up right down the street from my home at Tai Pan Trading!
Quinn: Absolutely—I’m a long-time fan of Cupcake Chic and am often day-dreaming about eating their cupcakes.
Stephanie: Yes. The prices are reasonable and the cupcakes are fabulous. Plus…they DELIVER!
Vanessa: Yes, because of the price, the high quality and dependability. Trista’s cupcakes are spot-on every single time I have had them and her company is very dependable.

I have to admit, cupcakes are my absolute weakness. Yes, I know that’s a little cliche – the fat girl likes cupcakes, but I do love them. I will definitely be stopping by Tai Pan to get some of those. I’m dying to try the Red Velvet ones – yum!
