In my past life as a flight attendant, I did a lot of traveling and lat- night arrivals, thus a lot of sports grill eating so when I heard we were reviewing Legends Pub & Grill I knew I would have a good base of sports grills to compare it to.
I noticed a difference right away when they handed me a seven page menu including the standard pub favorites but also a variety of salads, pastas, breakfast items, Mexican and Canadian dishes (Poutine: fries smothered in cheese and gravy). Legends has an entire page dedicated to appetizers and starters including fried pickles, potchos, chicken or beef sliders and coconut shrimp. In true pub style, there is another entire page dedicated to burgers and sandwiches including a philly cheesesteak, pastrami burger and meatball sub.
Legends Sports Pub comes complete with the total sports themed package including sports memorabilia and themed decor, big screens showcasing the latest event, and free games like billiards, foosball and darts. They have a beautiful outdoor patio complete with fires in the middle of the tables and also feature a large room for group events where they include the entertainment (choose from karaoke, DJ, etc.) free of charge for groups of 50 or more. The banquet room decor steers clear of alcohol advertising to make it a family friendly environment. Legends loves giving back to the community and often hosts parties for youth sports leagues.
Legends Pub & Grill prides itself on an ever evolving environment. Whether changing up the decor or additions to the menu, they like to keep things fresh for their increasing group of regulars. It becomes a game of sorts to figure out what is different each time you go. The owners can usually be found on premises as they love interacting with and getting feedback from their family of customers. Here’s what Lisa told us about how and why she and her husband started Legends:
