Follow-up Friday & Giveaway: San Gelato Cafe

If you had a chance to read our preview and review of San Gelato Cafe of SoDa Row you already know that the Sassies are fans for life.   But really, who wouldn’t be?  They have over 110 flavors of of AWARD WINNING gelato.  Honestly, any place that has taken Nutella and turned it into a cold, creamy, and mouthwatering treat is probably going to be in my top 20 favorite places of all time.  That is pretty high ranking considering my standards.

See that in the left corner? Nutella... Oh yes!

Now the Sassies didn’t only enjoy the tempting sweet treats at San Gelato Cafe.  I wasn’t expecting a gelato shop to have such a well crafted menu with such a varietyof food options.  Needless to say my eyes and my taste buds were pleasantly surprised.  The owner, Robert, served us some of the best tasting sandwiches I have had in a long time.  I know my, and some of the other Sassies, favorite was the Ferrari Panini.  Try to say that 3 times fast.

Now that I have had my first taste of gelato, at the San Gelato Cafe, I may never go back to ice cream again.  With all the scrumptious flavors and vibrant color choices, rocky road just won’t ever seem the same.  And thankfully gelato is healthier than ice cream so maybe my waistline will benefit from my new discovery also.

The Sassies always have fabulous time when were are out on the town.  Good food, delicious desserts, and of course plenty of girl talk made our time at the San Gelato Cafe on SoDa Row simply fabulous.  It is the perfect place for a girl’s lunch, family night out, or even a romantic date night.

Did I forget to mention how much fun we had?

Obviously any place that can make Michelle burst into spontaneous laughter is a place you want to be, right?  Of course I’m right.  Well now you have the chance to see why we are raving about the fab food, fun, and friendly atmosphere at San Gelato Cafe.

Well, I think my favorite flavor would be white chocolate, or any that involve caramel.

Also: I’ve been looking for a new gelato place since Maestro’s closed. :( So I’m definitely a fan on facebook. Can’t lose another one!!

(I’d blog about it, but that would decrease my odds if others saw my post and then also entered. I can’t take that risk. Gelato is too important.)

I’d have to try either the milk chocolate or the white chocolate. Or maybe both!

Hmmm. It would be a toss up between Dulce de Leche and Amaretto. Yum!

I tweeted about it. Well, I retweeted @Sahans tweet, which is practically the same thing. What can I say, I’m lazy!

I could spend my whole day looking at these beautiful Gelato, but I would try the Dulce de Leche Giandduia (Chocolate Hazelnut with heath bar!) But I definitely could not walk away without trying the Tuscany Sandwich, who could pass up any sandwich with roast beef, provolone, and chipotle sauce on foccacia bread?

Oh and I so am a fan on facebook! I did an update on the giveaway too, even though that decreases my chances of winning, at the same time as increasing them, oh well.

I can only choose one? They all sound delicious! I love Panna Cotta, so I’m sure I would love the Panna Cotta Gelato.
I tweeted at http://twitter.com/LesliHarker, which automatically updates my Facebook status, so check that off too.
And I blogged at http://theharkerherald.blogspot.com/2010/01/why-blogging-rocks.html. Check it out!

P.S. Your photos of the Gelato are better than the website’s photos!

Looking at your pictures of the gelato reminds me of Easter! Such pretty colors – but I’d have to go with chocolate of any kind. I’ll save the pastel colors for the Easter basket!

I’m boring- just plain ol’ chocolate for me! But my husband- he wanted about everything on the menu!
