Follow-up Friday: Europe meets Utah at Flour Girls & Dough Boys

At Flour Girls & Dough Boys in American Fork, Utah it’s all about the European artisan breads…and the panini and the soup and the cupcakes and the eclairs. The sassies tried pretty much everything on the menu and I’m pretty sure enjoyed every bite. With good food comes great conversation; here’s a peek behind the scenes of our latest SassyScoops.com review. And please excuse the glare…though Allison and Carina are that radiant in person, the videographer (that would be me) chose the totally wrong place to sit.

By the way, if you were to turn on the director’s commentary like you’d find on just about any DVD, here’s what you’d hear me say:

  • “You didn’t have to make all those cupcakes just for me!”
  • I was just kidding when I said I’d sacrifice my tomato, mozzarella, pesto panini.
  • “Yes, Vanessa, you need to make yourself like feta cheese.”
  • “Jyl, your dimples are so dang cute!”
  • “Don’t shake your head at me, Quinn!”
  • Yes, Rachael really does vogue on occasion.
  • “Marie, your impression of Jack Black was priceless!”

We have a tough job, I know! It took a lot of work to make it look like we were having that much fun! (And yes, I’m totally kidding.) We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and not just because we had great food and great conversation but also because we talked with Carol Coppins about the story behind Flour Girls & Dough Boys. A selection of the bakery’s tasty desserts soon followed. Enjoy the story behind the bakery and enjoy watching us indulge in their yummy treats!

Note: If you listen closely you’ll hear where they found their fabulous chandeliers.
