What was your first impression?

THE SCOOP

Camille: Loved Emily’s energy! Not once throughout the three hours of shooting eight crazy ladies did she show any sign of fatigue or frustration. She’s genuine and constantly smiling. Warning: she greets with hugs!
Emily: How cute is SHE?! Emily was warm and welcoming and puts you right at ease. And Jamie was fabulous managing our gear and making sure we all knew when and where to go.
Kalli: Very friendly, put me at ease immediately.
Kristina: Emily and Jamie were really laid back and easygoing. Emily even asked me what my “good side” was. Now, clearly all of my sides are my good sides, but I was impressed she made us all feel comfortable and she knew exactly what she was doing.
Michelle: Emily was really friendly and put me totally at ease. I couldn’t believe how many great, colorful picture spots there were downtown.
Quinn: Emily and Jamie were completely adorable, upbeat and friendly.
Stephanie: Emily was very friendly, upbeat, and so excited to see us. She obviously loves what she is doing and I loved seeing that.
Vanessa: I was actually quite nervous and did not know what to expect! Although when I met the two women behind Mommy Models I was put at ease; they are very friendly and down-to-earth.

What did you like the most?

THE SCOOP

Camille: Definitely the compliments. I noticed that with every single one of us, Emily found an individual trait that stood out, whether it was Kristina’s lush lips, Kalli’s eyes or Stephanie’s “spicy personality,” and brought that out in the photos. She definitely makes you “feel” like a model!
Emily: I love how Emily’s Mommy Models shoots make you feel, well, like a model. Usually moms are behind the camera but Emily brings them in front of it instead—and makes them look fabulous!
Kalli: Emily is a very natural photographer; she is easy to be around and has a happy demeanor. I like that!
Kristina: I like how Emily kept flattering me and telling me I had supermodel lips. And even though I hear that about five times a day, it was nice to hear it again. I also love how rich and vibrant the colors look. These are honestly some of my favorite pictures of me I have ever had taken.
Michelle: That she got me out of my comfort zone. I don’t usually like to be in pictures by myself, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. She also made my eyes look incredibly blue in the pictures, which is awesome. The hubs wants my “sexy pic” framed on his desk at work. {So does everyone else at his work…}
Quinn: I loved how beautiful Emily made you feel you were when you were in front of the camera. She would say things like, “Oh, there are those gorgeous eyes!” It was a really uplifting photo shoot.
Stephanie: My pictures. Seriously… she made me look how I would see myself if I was a lot skinnier and hotter. AMAZING!
Vanessa: How FUN it is! Yes, I know. Weird. Taking pictures is fun. But Emily has such fun with her subjects and really thinks outside the box.

What didn’t you like?

Camille: That my braces were still glued to my teeth. {Camille, that response had me literally laughing out loud!}
Emily: Although the saturation is truly beautiful and makes everyone’s eyes and makeup look gorgeous, it made my normally tame, blonde hair look a little on the neon orange side. But at least I don’t succumb to peer pressure like all the other Sassies did when they ALL went brunette. “One of these things is not like the other…”
Kalli: Waiting around wasn’t so much fun. Watching homeless guys peeing on a bush wasn’t either.
Kristina: I wish I had more of a stripper-like pose, like Emily. It would really help my career. {Kristina, come over any time and I’ll show you how to strike that special pose.}
Michelle: There were some questionable smells in some of those downtown shooting locations.
Quinn: I’m not completely crazy about my close-up face shots.
Stephanie: Some of our group shots. But I’m sure it is hard to find a great photo of eight women, standing together, trying to pose.
Vanessa: I wish MommyModelsBlog.com website focused a bit less on the contest and more on how having a “Mommy Models” shoot rejuvenates YOU as a woman. A nice video testimonial or two would be nice as well.

Would you hire Emily for a future photo shoot?

Camille: Yes! She made the photo shoot a lot of fun and helped me feel very comfortable in a setting with which I’m not typically comfortable.
Emily: I’m already considering hiring her for a family shoot. We’ve never had one of just our little family and I absolutely LOVE the family shots in her portfolio on Winkfotos.com.
Kalli: I’ve never looked so hot, so yes.
Kristina: Absolutely. In fact, next time I do family pictures, or pictures for when I become a movie star, I am hiring her.
Michelle: Yes. I think she was great, very personable and the pictures turned out amazing!
Quinn: Yes, I would. I’m pretty critical of photographers because I am a professional photographer, and I feel Emily is very talented and really gives a lot for what you pay.
Stephanie: Yes. She is so much fun and really puts you at ease. You can see that in all her photos.
Vanessa: Yes! The way she worked with colors, edited the photos, the time it took to get the photos, EVERYTHING was very professional and high quality.
