Ten Thousand Villages is one of my favorite places in the world–I can stay in that place for hours! My mother-in-law introduced me to it a couple years ago and I just cannot stay away! This is the place I go for birthday presents, anniversary gifts, something special for myself and for every holiday. When you have a hard time thinking of the right thing to get someone who is hard to shop for, Ten Thousand Villages is the perfect place to come. During the holiday season when I have to buy something for my husband’s clients who seem to already have everything, Ten Thousand Villages is where I shop and I always find something perfect.
The executive director of the Salt Lake City Chapter, Tatiana Kireiev Miller, was wonderful enough to explain the mission of Ten Thousand Villages and take us on a tour of the store while sharing the wonderful stories behind each product in the store.
Ten Thousand Villages is a wonderful thing to do as a family outing to teach your children about fair trade practices, different cultures and the art of handmade creations. My girls love to hear the story behind each product we buy from there, from the chocolate bars to jewelry items to home decor pieces.
Be sure to check back on Wednesday for our full review and on Friday for a very special Ten Thousand Villages giveaway and some of our favorite picks from the store!

I absolutely LOVE this store! I first discovered it while visiting a friend in the Orlando area. I came out of there with the cutest jewelry and gifts. And I love that you can buy a lot of their items online as well. It’s a wonderful shop for unique gift ideas!
I agree! I love this store so much! Was a ton of fun to see so much variety and know that your purchases really help someone have a better life.
